SECOND SHOW! Harry Manx in Herons

Great News! Harry Manx has added a second show!

The inimitable Harry Manx performing in Herons! Many islanders have experienced the warm vibes of a Harry Manx dinner show; he’s performed at the Heriot Bay Inn several times. Manx plays the Mohan Veena (a 20 stringed instrument invented by his mentor Vishwa Mohan Bhatt), as well as lap steel, harmonica, stomp box and banjo. Manx quickly envelops the audience with his warm vocals and the beautiful melodies of his original songs. He calls his blend of East & West “mysticssippi blues”, he creates these blues by blending Indian folk melodies with slide guitar blues, adding a sprinkle of gospel and some compelling grooves.

Harry Manx is a blues musician who has worked hard to earn his accolades: his collection of awards one proof of his skill & work. He’s received seven Maple Blues Awards, CBC Radio’s Great Canadian Blues Awards for 2007, and his albums have garnered five Juno nominations. His mantel also holds honours from the Canadian Folk Music Awards, Vancouver magazine Georgia Straight, and the South Australia Blues Society.
