UofQ Prom 2026

UofQ Prom!

School’s out for summer! The final class wraps up on May 12th, and we’re celebrating 15 years of UofQ with a night to remember. A big thank you to all our “Professors” and “Deans” who’ve made this weekly tradition so memorable.

Final UofQ Class at 7pm: Birds On The Move—Spring Migration and the Return of the Dawn Chorus
Join Kathryn Manery to learn about migration monitoring and her work in Alberta and Costa Rica. Her talk will include banding, recent developments in GPS locators, contributions of citizen science, and birding tools available to help birders (ebird, Merlin, etc).

Quadra Island Birding Big Day is held on May 9th—a full day of spotting birds on Quadra Island! The idea is to see and record as many species as possible within the 24hour period. This event is a part of a Global Big Day, when people will look for birds all around the world.

Prom at 8pm(ish): “Birds of a Feather”
Karaoke hosted by PJ
Feathers, boas, wings—go all in!
Prizes for best costume, best bird call, and more!
