Sound Seed Yoga began by combining three passions: yoga, gardening and music, it has continued to blossom from there. Sarah studied to become a yoga teacher in Rishikesh, India. Following traditional yogic principles, her unique approach developed over 20 years of exploring the vast world of yoga, meditation, spirituality and alternative health.

As a singer/songwriter and music lover, Sarah was naturally drawn to nada yoga, the yoga of sound, which is a major component in her classes and offerings. Planting organic and vibrational seeds, Sarah is a channel and co-creator of sacred sound—intended to assist in human consciousness.

“I am tremendously grateful to have found what works for me. Living in the country, getting dirt on my hands, singing as I dance in the field and finding deep connection. I hope to help inspire people to find what works for them, to help add a little more light, laughter and love to this world, by singing my song.”

Embrace Mobile Sauna

Sauna & (optional) Cold Plunge – Followed by a Campfire, Live Guitar Music & Smores

This handmade cedar barrel sauna sits next to the Inn, offering warmth from the wood fire, combined with a fresh cedar scent, instantly soothes the body, bringing you right to a state of relaxation. Steam is created by pouring warm water on the rocks. The intention is to relax, take time, and let the body undergo the healing process that a sauna can provide.

Heat from a sauna (80-110°C) can improve aspects of mobility, balance, chronic pain, stress, and even overall longevity. While these long-term benefits come with regular sauna use, one session in the sauna will leave your body feeling soothed and relaxed from head to toe.

Combining a hot sauna with a cold-water experience (like jumping into the Heriot Bay ocean!) offers many positive effects on the mind and body, such as increased circulation, strengthened immune system, reduced inflammation, and improved sleep.

Explore the wonders of Quadra Island & the surrounding areas of Desolation Sound. Take in these amazing landscapes and the diverse wildlife that this area provides. Chris’ vision is to foster awareness, preservation, and restoration of our Coastal waters by connecting people and nature.

The 32 foot, fully covered vessel comfortably seats 10 guests and is designed and ready for any weather. She is kept at the dock of the historic Heriot Bay Inn located on Quadra Island.
